Roberto Valdez is the Coach at Porter...
Porter has an outside shot, they have 9 guys coming back on Offense, and a new defensive coordinator, who seems to have the guys fired up

rivera was big at the receiver position last year. they had a bunch of tall receivers.......too bad the qb was getting chased in the backfield all the time

their best WR and KO/PR is gone.....they have good speed at the skill pos.

Another poll I don't want to vote on. I just doesn't seem right. You guys just have gotten beat down so much in the last few years on the fields and the boards. There's a lot of talent over there. I think the new slate of coaches over there will make a big difference in the next 2 years. That said, there should be some interesting info about the administration of the programs that will change a lot of stuff. It may take a while for all the info to come out. It will be very unpleasant and it won't be helping the kids in the short term but in 3-5 years, B-town should start being very strong again at least in a few schools. It's curious how the biggest city in the Valley has had the fewest members on the boards. That said, I'm just speculating. |

By the way, the school board voted for the name of the new high school...
Brownsville Veterans Memorial High
I don't like it, I wish they could have had a another last name, now it is just gonna look awkward next to all the other ones
