Did you read anything, or just make asinine comments?
South Ossetia separatists (backed by Russia) were firing on Georgian troops. Georgia bombed the crap out of them. Russia then invaded Georgia.
And please tell me why the Russians are still in Georgia and still on the move? Why is Armenia attackin Azerbaijan?
You are right, Russia does not want to mess with Israel. You know why Russia will mess with Israel? The prophecies in Ezekiel 38 and 39 indicate that God will put a hook in the jaw of Russia and bring her down against the land of Israel in the end times.
My guess . . . Israel is going to go after Iran, Russia will make the trip down in retaliation. They already cleared one of the two countries they needed to take out to get there. The two countries that are Pro-West. Georgia and Azerbaijan. Armenia, Turkey, and Syria are great friends of the Russians.

The continent surrounding the South Pole constitutes nearly a tenth of the world's land but is owned by no one. It has no indigenous people, as has the Arctic. Pie-slice sections are claimed by seven nations -- the United Kingdom, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, France, and Norway. Neither the United States nor the Soviet Union, prime players on the southern stage, claims Antarctic territory nor honors the claims of others; however, both consider the continent politically important. In addition, a number of developing countries in the United Nations since 1983 have expressed interest in being informed of and participating in the governance of Antarctica. It'll get there soon enough (i.e. when they discover the oil )

i dont know about antartica but i do know the north pole is where all the money is at!!! dont be suprise if we butt heads in the future over the north pole!!!
this article is about a year old:
Russian President Vladimir Putin is making an astonishing bid to grab a vast chunk of the Arctic - so he can tap its vast potential oil, gas and mineral wealth.
His scientists claim an underwater ridge near the North Pole is really part of Russia's continental shelf.
One newspaper printed a map of the "new addition", a triangle five times the size of Britain with twice as much oil as Saudi Arabia.
The dramatic move provoked an international outcry. The U.S. and Canada expressed shock and environment campaigners said it would be a disaster.
Observers say the move is typical of Putin's muscle-flexing as he tries to increase Russian power.
Under current international law, the countries ringing the Arctic - -Russia, Canada, the U.S., Norway, and Denmark (which owns Greenland) - are limited to a 200-mile economic zone around their coasts.
Putin claims that an underwater Russian ridge is linked to the North Pole A UN convention says none can claim jurisdiction over the Arctic seabed because the geological structure does not match the surrounding continental shelves.
But Russian scientists have returned from a six-week mission on a nuclear ice-breaker to claim that the 1,220-mile long underwater Lomonosov Ridge is geologically linked to the Siberian continental platform - and similar in structure.
The region is currently administered by the International Seabed Authority but this is now being challenged by Moscow.
Experts estimate the ridge has ten billion tons of gas and oil deposits and significant sources of diamonds, gold, tin, manganese, nickel, lead and platinum.
A Russian attempt to claim Arctic territory was rejected five years ago, but this time Moscow plans to make a far more serious submission to the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf. A British diplomatic source warned
that Russia was planning to secure its grip on oil and gas supplies "for decades to come".
The Russians have laid controversial claim to the North Pole
He said: "Putin wants a strong Russia, and Western dependence on it for oil and gas supplies is a key part of his strategy. He no longer cares if it upsets the West."
The U.S. state department said the Russian claim was completely unacceptable. "It's an extraordinary idea and I can't believe it will go anywhere," an official said.
A Canadian official called the move a complete surprise.
Green groups warned that the Kremlin claim could devastate one of the world's last unspoilt areas.
John Sauven, director of Greenpeace UK, said: "We think nations should stop searching for new sources of fossil fuel and focus instead on the alternatives - renewables, energy efficiency and decentralised energy systems.
"Only then will disputes over natural resources become a thing of the past."
Ted Nield, of the Geological Society in London, branded Russia's claim nonsensical.
"The notion that geological structures can somehow dictate ownership is deeply peculiar," he said.
"Anyway, the Lomonosov Ridge is not part of a continental shelf - it is the point at which two ocean floor plates under the Arctic Ocean are spreading apart.
"It extends from Russia across to Canada, which means Canada could use the same argument and say the ridge is part of the Canadian shelf.
"If you take that to its logical conclusion, Canada could claim Russia and the whole of Eurasia as its own."

Georgia did not go into South Ossetia. They just shelled the hell out of a city that was full of sepratists.
And Russia responds by invading Georgia.
If Russia's tru intentions were to protect South Ossetia, why in the hell are they camping the capitol of Georgia, over 200 miles into Georgia?

Which was finalized today..and weird thing is they said the projector base would be ready by 2012! Coincidence?Im sure yall have already heard of the bible code...maybe theres something our government is keeping from us to ensure this base is ready by 2012 or Coincidence?
WARSAW (Reuters) - Poland finally agreed on Thursday to host elements of U.S. global anti-missile system on its territory after Washington improved the terms of the deal amid the Georgia crisis.
ADVERTISEMENT The preliminary deal was signed by deputy Polish Foreign Minister Andrzej Kremer and U.S. chief negotiator John Rood. It still needs to be endorsed by both governments and the Polish parliament.
The signing comes after Prime Minister Donald Tusk had been holding out for enhanced military cooperation with the United States in return for consent to host 10 interceptor rockets at a base in northern Poland.
Washington says the interceptors and a radar in the Czech Republic would form part of a global "missile shield" protecting the United States and its allies from long range missiles that could in the future be fired by Iran or groups such as al-Qaeda.
"We have crossed the Rubicon," Tusk said just before the deal was signed.
"We have finally got understanding of our point of view that Poland, being a crucial partner in NATO and an important friend and ally of the United States, must also be safe."
Officials said the deal included a U.S. declaration that it will aid Poland militarily in case of a threat from a third country and that it would establish a permanent U.S. base on Polish soil in a symbolic gesture underlining the alliance.
"We are comfortable that we negotiated a strong agreement," Rood said. "It elevates our security relationship to a new level."
The United States also agreed to a long-standing Polish demand to hand Poland a battery of Patriot rockets, a defense system against short-range missiles, Polish officials said.
One U.S. official said the Patriots were "mentioned" but did not elaborate.
RUSSIA VEHEMENTLY OPPOSED
If everything goes to schedule, the interceptor base would be ready by around 2012, officials have said. The Czechs have already signed an agreement to host the radar although parliament there must ratify it.
Russia has vehemently opposed placing the shield installations in central Europe, saying they would threaten its security and upset the post-Cold War balance of power in Europe.
Washington reiterated on Thursday this was not the case.
"In no way is the (U.S.) president's plan for missile defense aimed at Russia," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said. "The purpose of missile defense is to protect our European allies from any rogue threats."
Moscow has threatened to take retaliatory steps against Poland and the Czech Republic, its former reluctant vassals who are now part of the European Union and NATO.
In the face of Russian opposition, Tusk had argued he could not agree to the shield unless the United States agreed to boost Warsaw's air defenses and enhance mutual military cooperation.
Russia's military action against Georgia strengthened the argument, Tusk said on Tuesday, ahead of the talks this week.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski played down the impact of the events in Georgia on the deal, apparently hoping to soften any criticism from Moscow.
In what appeared to be the first sign of Moscow's displeasure, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday cancelled a planned trip to Warsaw in September, Polish diplomats said.
Russia has also been angered by Poland's strong verbal support for Georgia.
The shield deal, if approved by parliaments in Prague and Warsaw, will be a rare success for President George W. Bush who has argued it is essential to contain the threat of a potentially nuclear-armed Iran.
Washington hopes the shield might persuade Iran to abandon its nuclear program, although Teheran says it wants to develop nuclear energy only to generate electricity and not to make nuclear weapons.
