Why all of a sudden Russia wants the SU back??? Because Russia is not the superpower it was when they were the USSR. They want to be able to play with the big boys again. Remind me again what business does the U.S. have in Georgia?? Iraq?? Afghanistan?? Georgia was the country that started this by attacking South Ossetia..... Georgia wants to join NATO. Georgia requested help from the US in setting up and training their military. As for Iraq . . . we won that war without trying. We are getting screwed by trying to police the country. Our objective was to oust Saddam. Under his regime, terrorists had a safe haven in Iraq. Mind you, this is not just a Bush thing. Both Clinton's, both Bush's, and even Al Gore have stated interest in removing Saddam. Afghanistan . . . we are there in reference to al Qaeda. Not that hard to understand. As for your last comment . . . it was started by Russia helping out "volunteers" (some of who were Russian soldiers) in South Ossetia who were revolting against Georgia. Georgia was trying to get their province under control, and Russia jumped in. In essence, Russia provoked Georgia to get a rise out of them, then swooped in to take them over. What is wrong with communism?? Who appointed the U.S. to oppose communism?? Is this a paying position, defender of the universe?? At what cost is the U.S. opposing communism in these countries?? If you make $100,000 a year by working your behind off, and your neighbor does nothing but watch novelas all year and makes nothing . . . do you want the government to take money you worked hard for to equalize the two of you? Instead of 100k for your hard work, you would have 50k for your hard work, and your neighbor ould have 50k of your money for doing nothing. Communism openly denies it's people freedoms and rights. As for is it our job, and do we get payed? If you see someone getting their butt whooped on the street, is it your responsibility to help them out? Do you expect payment to do so? The USA is the greatest country on earth. Sure, we have our problems . . . what country doesn't? Uncle Ben said it: With great power comes great responsibility. |

i agree we shouldnt be meddling in business that has nothing to do with us, but Russia shouldnt be trying to put the U.S.S.R back together. Whats the point? to bring back their old ways? When someone asks for help, we should help them. Russia wants power. The US is still the reigning superpower. It has been the lone superpower since the USSR fell. China is getting up there, and Russia wants back in. Both want world domination. They want a piece of the pie that the US has had for the last ~75 years. Funny thing is that is what the Bible says will happen |

I dont believe that in the bible it directly says Russia is going to invade Israel its all based on opinions and interpretations of certain passages,every little war that happens ppl think the world is gonna end..WWIII could happen and nothing happens and then ppl would start talking bout WWIIII being the end of times...whatever ppls opinions are I do know that in the bible it says no one can predict the end of days it will come and sneak up on you when you least suspect it so all these predictions and notions are contradicting those words.....the whole point is to be prepared everyday as if it were your last and knowingly after each day being able to say if this is to be my last day on earth today I can face judgement in confidence.....and all this other talk about Mayan 2012 end of world prediction also completely contradicts the bibles words of " no one will be able to predict the end of times" So I say it'l happen when it happens its already in Gods masterplan not even JESUS knows when the end of times is only God does so if not even Jesus knows when it is it's arrogant for us to think we know......one thing that is interesting that is quoted in the bible is that is says "the Generation of the baby boomers shall not pass before the end of days" |

I'll try to find some quotes some of what I say or maybe all is in book of revelations and when I think it was peter or paul asking when the end of times is which is when Jesus directly tells him no one will know |

Baby boomers is a term used to descibe a person born in the US, Canada, New Zeland and the UK between 1945 untill about 1960. When WWII ended a lot of soldiers came home and quickly, well... "celebrated" a victory, as a result a lot of english speaking countries saw a spike in birth rates around that time, known as the "Baby Boom." |

It also says as some know that the world would be destroyed by fire this time around instead of water as in the days of Noah and there are opinions on what that would mean....some interpret it as nuclear warfare others believe Asteroid or Comet.....you gotta keep in mind that a prophet was given the vision of the end of days so of course way back then they didnt know what a missile or rocket much less bullet looked like...so the way he described some of it was Fire falling from the Sky....and if u think about a nuclear warhead or atom bomb falling down you dont see much fire until impact or detonation as opposed to an asteroid where the break up of the asteroid or comet and earth cause the debri to fall from space to earth and when the debri falls from an impact as such you would see the debri falling as huge balls of fire...just some ideals.

Read Ezekiel 38. It is quite clear what it says. And the 2012 thing is not unscriptural. -- Mark 13:32 (KJV) — But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
It does not say "shall not know" the month or year but do not know (present tense) the day or hour. This phrase is actually the Hebrew idiom for the "Feast that no man knows the day or hour", that is, "Yom Teruah" / "Feast of Trumpets/Shouting". This is the only feast day that you do not know in advance exactly when it is going to start because it happens on the day of the new visible crescent moon of the 7th month.
The statement was never meant to say we could never know the timing of the the Messiah's coming in advance. That would conflict with many other scriptures if it were the intent. But Christians generally understand it to mean "dont set dates or get distracted studying prophecy", which is understandable since historically every past date for the reign of Messiah has been wrong.
Nevertheless, we were given the 70 weeks of Daniel and the Parable of the Fig Tree to "show his servants" the timing of these things in advance (See Rev 1:1-2). Moreover, there are any number of timing markers given in Daniel and Revelation which once you see them happen, you know that the Messiah's return will be in either 1290 days, 1260 days, 1335 days, 42 months or 3½ years from that point! Thus once you see the event you know the the timing of Second Advent down to year, month and day, as long as you can accurately handle counting the passing of days.
However, just because we know when the Messiah is going to return once the Great Tribulation starts, it doesn't mean that we can put off repenting of doing things our own ways until then. We still have to have God's protection to make it through the Great Tribulation and WWIII...and we can always be hit by a car or die of food poisoning from some bad clams tomorrow (unless, of course, you wisely give up the foods that the Bible calls unclean)!
The idea that God has completely hidden his timeline from us doubts the literal meaning of all the time spans listed in the prophecies. And those that see how short the time is can get a sense of urgency from that to repent with greater focus. That's what we are called to do with our time, repent and bear fruit showing love of Jesus by our actions, not continue doing things our own way and saying something different.
We have been given this information so we can be best prepared for what's coming. Remember, "the bride has made herself ready." Knowing the timing helps tremendously. Dont be afraid of it. We need all the help we can get to prepare enough to be qualified to be counted among the 144,000 or "The Woman" and to endure until the end as Jesus commanded his followers to pray for so they could stand before him at his return (Lk 21:36). What a privelege that can be ours—but not without great sacrifice! -- Also do a google of the Jewish feasts and their relevance to the life and death of Jesus. After that, do a google on the relationship between solar and lunar eclipss, Israel, and the feasts. After that, google the dates of solar and lunar eclipses and compare them to feasts I will give you a hint . . . alot of weird "coincidental" things are going to come about with 2012 being right in the middle of it  |
