lol, i won't buy a new system until i know all the bugs have been worked out. that's why i still have and use the old xbox system. if i need to try out a new game, i just borrow my cousins 360. he's in law school so he doesn't need it.

Wii is good as well as PS3.....that's all I can recommend. Now if you are a xbox lover then make sure you get the warranty with it.

i like wii games, they're pretty fun. ps3 has some good games, but im having trouble getting used to the ps again. i've had an xbox for awhile.

if you got the red ring of death...well....your pretty much stuck! Not really.....mine had that same crap and a friend of mine well this guy at the pulga said he'll fix it for 10 bucks and make it work for about a week or two(just enought to sell it to a pawn shop). All he did was melt some silver stuff that had already burnt out inside the xbox and wala!!! Only sold it for about 100 bucks though.....100 bucks is better than a crappy box that doesn't work. was that the hot towel treatment? |

360's are going to start coming out with BluRay drives this fall (so the rumor goes).
MS has a three year warranty on all 360's. I bought mine 6 months ago and have not had problems yet.
If you want to be really safe, buy Walmart's 1 year PRP. Right before the year is up, return it, and get a new one for free. Purchase the PRP . . . repeat until the end of time.

Something else that will not only help with the console but the games as well is the fan that you can connect to the back of the console. Helps keep the drive cool and doesn't burn out as fast. If your games have scratch-like rings on them, it's because the console is too hot.

na man....if your talking about t he Nyco cooler. you don't want to use that...it killed my buddies box twice. read the reviews on it amazon. they are all bad.
the way I keep mine cool is I put some rubber pegs underneath it that raises it about 1 cm. then I have it resting on a glass plate. plus you don't want to keep it confined in cluttered entertainment center.

Well now that you mention it. It still messed up after I bought the cooler but I thought it was already messed up and amybe that cooler made it worst. Not a bad idea about lifting it up though.

Well i sure hope my brother's xbox 360 will last long enough. That thing is turned on from early morning till late night EVERYDAY. Almost or sometimes non-stop. If it's not me playing, it's my brother, if not him, it's my nephews. We also have that NyCo Cooler thing on it. Oh and it's the xbox 360 ELITE, the one with the black box. Games we play the most is COD4, well my brother's and nephews. He just bought it about 3 months ago and just purchased the warranty through Microsoft.

Like i stated earlier.. the NYCO cooler is crap shi... there is a new alternate version available if you do want a cooler www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6619Anyways, most newer Xboxs come with better internal cooling systems, and Microsoft warranties the "Red Ring of Death" for three years. I'm also glad Gamestop has their PRP Plan, just replace it, buy another year of warranty, replace it again after a year. I'm on my forth Box. Only had one go bad on me, but that was my own fault, kept it in a closed Entertainment Center, now the rubber pegs and glass plate work fine |

ps3 doesnt really have that many games but again it does have blue ray and also MGS4 which just came out and also got a perfect 10 rating in i think it was IGN.com

xbox is getting all the hype from all the major game manufacturers. even the madden challenge uses the 360. i'll go 360 before i go ps3, but i'd probably end up buying em both.
