Several key players from last season will be returning including Junior QB, Bradley George. George has been a two-year starter and chucked the ball for 2009 yards last season. On the other end of those George spirals you’ll be likely to find senior All-Southland Conference receiver Cameron Luke. Other ’07 standouts that will help to make the Bobcats successful include a “thunder and lightning” pair of running backs. They are All-Southland Conference Offensive Freshman of the Year Karrington Bush and a guy who has always done whatever the Bobcats needed, senior Stan Zwinggi.
When asked if he expected any freshmen to contribute on the field this season, Coach Wright responded; “We hope that no freshmen have to contribute – but if they are good enough, we will put them in there. The first two that come to mind are Mishak Rivas (RB/WR – Weslaco, TX) on offense and Trevor Barry (DE – Waller, TX) on defense.”

dont pop there bubble TF.. im sure Mishak will get some playing time this year... and we all hope the best for him.. theres no need to make it seem that he will shine his first year,. if he does god for him .. if the coach decides to keep him healthy by giving him limited play then good for him too... Mishak has four years to shine lets not try to make some thing up either... he will stand ot sooner or later... most likely later...

I also attended practice and here is a little bit of what I saw.
Misak Rivas and EJ Leblanc (both Slot WR) are going to be difference makers. I see Mishak Rivas playing alot this year. Darius Bolden looked pretty solid and I am expecting him to play this year, good size to be a true freshman.
Bradley George is looking better and is throwing the ball with more authority, we will see if this continues.
Tim Hawkins is duel threat QB that really could be the next Barrick Nealy. I dont see him playing this year but in George's senior year he could be facing stiff competition for his starting qb job.
All 3 running backs looked solid.
That offense could actually be better than last years, man they are talented. The defense still needs some work but to me it looks like they will be improved. It certainly didnt help them Drenard Williams was out but should be back on monday.

He does look small, but he can't do much about that....The size of his heart and his skills should make up for what he lacks in stature.....
