just like teamfalcon said. he had better options. his accomplishments/resume are far greater than his teammates. i know i know its his choice and his future, but I also remember him saying in that video where he's signing his letter of intent that he hopes to play professionally one day. i dont know if texas state will help him achieve that goal, god willing it will, but he did have better options.

i agree that he probably had better options but it had to be what fit him. i know mishak and he's never had to ride the bench ever. so i think his decision was based on where his chance was greatest to play. that's one of the things i would've told him to consider had he asked me. you wanna play and contribute. you wanna get the chance to live up to the expectations they put on you right away, and i think texas state is where he's gonna get that chance the fastest. you gotta remember also that he's gonna be running track for the bobcats and with the times he's been putting up lately (45's) he'll be doing that right away in his freshman year. that was also probably a big factor in his decision. going pro is a stretch for anyone anywhere, he's gonna have to MAKE people look at him, but knowing him, he'll have no problem with that

I think Mishak should have gone to a better program and and he still would have been a star or a good player on the team. The would have have been pushed to the sky had others been as good as him. Now with Texas State he will be the star player and then what??? He has no one to compete with but himself..

i think he's just got to make people look. i know that the bigger the program the easier it is to get people to see you, but isn't texas state moving up to the bowl subdivision? i think i heard something about that. if that's the case he'll get his chance by the time he's in his junior and senior year.

Do you know where tony romo played in college hunter, (eastern illinois university) just proves that it doesn't matter necessarily where you play. Its like down here in the rgv, how its hard for our athletes to get noticed and go on to play college ball, but if you take care of business on the field and build yourself a nice resume and put yourself out there to be seen, they will find you. Shak has set out to do what he wanted to do, which is play football and run track at the next level. All we can do is support him and wish him the best of luck. And that hopefully he has himself one helluva college career, and can pursue a professional career one day.

Alot of you don't know what you're saying but I won't get into specifics.
Talked to his mom today - seems that Mishak has been working with the first team at wide receiver.
Notice: We will be renting a charter bus for the August 30th game against Angelo State. It will cost $20.00 to get on the bus. We've got about 30 football players going up - we've got room for 27 more fans. We will be attending a tailgate party with live music once we get there. Anyone interested, send me a PM.

Video of Mishak at practice? Midway through the clip, they talk about Texas State football. Mishak is listed on the roster with the #12 number and you'll see a player at last weeks practice with that number. It's a quick part so watch for it carefully. Is it him? newstreamz.com/2008/08/09/newstreamz-video-update-080908

According to that video it looked like Shak was at RB.
