But, I guess that qualifies PLC for the HOTTEST team out there. There is no denying that the PLC area has a huge following, so I could see them as being a worthy candidate for the Classic... assuming it's all about selling tickets.

After a 30 some year drought, they win/tie for a couple DCs and now they are football immortals... it just doesn't make any sense. Weak district! Prior to 2006, they were in Region 3, district 24 with some pretty good teams, including Bay City, where coach Cherry was. Now, the only good schools in their district are Beeville and GP.

Mercedes will bring in a bigger crowd You will be surprised. When EE played them they filled up their side and part of our side. Of course, since the game was general admission, many of, I mean alot, of the EE faithful who came late were forced to stand along the perimeter of the field. This was in Kingsville, not a big stadium for a college, but still not small for a high school game.

A key for a Tiger's victory is to strike early. PLC fans are pretty loud so you all have to take them out of the game fast.

They will pound the ball and Mercedes will need to play disciplined defense. They have an EXCELLENT Lb coming back, Boyd. I presume you guys will attack the edges and outside, I think the middle may be a no go for mercedes.

Yeah, PLC has a crap load of fans... I guess a drought as long as they've had will do that.

I've thought the same thing myself but they seem to be in a kind of cosmic sweet spot the last couple of years. Their coach Whittaker was at Kingville and the program was coming apart at the seams. PLC was getting beat by 50 points on a regular basis. Then boom, Whittaker gets the PLC job and they are suddenly beating everyone in sight. Wait a minute, thats a lot like........
PLC is badass, you guys are fools if you take them lightly.

Ok, well maybe TC is taking them lightly, but he doesn't know much about football anyway. I looking forward to a good game. I just hope we can come out on top.

Well the Tigers will not only have Mercedes support there gonna have the entire valley supporting them I recall you saying in the past that you would never support E-E like against Cal. So don't be so sure other people will support your team if you don't support theirs. But hey let's make a deal. If you support La Maquina against Cal then I'll support the Tigers against PLC. ;D

Mercedes will bring in a bigger crowd Trust me tigercracy they will bring more fans than Mercy. When Mercy plays E-E we usually have the larger crowd so if that is the case for this game then you all will be out numbered. I too went to the E-E vs PLC game in the 06 playoffs and they probably had about 7,000 fans.
