All i know is that they NEED to utilize tanguma ALOT more over there at ee. Put the ball in his hands on every other play. And it be best not too use him both ways (offense/defense) just use him on offense, so he won't get worn down towards the end of the game. Think the only thing that might hold tanguma back is his grades .. Though if he stays focused in the classroom and on the field his sr year, theres no reason why he shouldn't land in a div 1 program. Tanguma may look like he is only an athlete but he is actually an honor student. He has mad skills and also has a good head on his shoulders.

Yeah Tanguma is great player for the VALLEY. he dominates every player on every video because everyone he dominates is tiny.I am more than sure that all the D 1 scouts see bigger, faster and stronger players all across AMERICA.IMO with that train of thought then nobody from the vallley would be worthy of going to a D1 school. don't get it twisted, Artie has great playoff experience as a sophomore starter on the '06 team and last year against Alice and Beeville. He dominated his opponent in those games as well.

Yeah MVFB79, you barked up the wrong tree regarding Tanguma's academics. If he worked at it, he could have been in the Top 10. Instead, he is probably going to have to settle for the top 10 percent.

lol hunter, morris never said any thing that you just mentioned. Look at morris' post in the "colleges interested in rgv players" thread, which i'm assuming is the thread your talking about. All he simply put were what div of schools were "INTERESTED" as of now on dylan and the weslaco guard. Way off hunter. Got some news on some of the boys here in Weslaco Interest in the QB 1- Big 12 1 - ACC 3 - Ivy 5 - Div. 3 Guard 1 - Div 2 1 - Div 3

artie doesn't dominate everyone he faces, but what coaches are going to like about him is his "coachability". in other words, he's very coachable, and very smart from what i understand. he's also got a whole lot of size that they could use anywhere. they could make him into a fullback (he'd be a beast) if he could find a place where they still use them as much. i know briles, now at rice, used to use a 6'2" 265 fullback all the time. if they would be able to get him down to a 215 or 210, he could be a receiver. he's got great hands. if they got him up to 290, he could be a guard or center. he could play DE. they could put him anywhere. i think he's D1 material just because of what they could do with him.

hopefully that list of interested schools gets bigger, and includes more players, after the season is over. it should include 2 tackles, a fullback, and some receivers as well as a safety and some linebackers.....

Too many spread offenses, even in a pro set he would probably be a lil slow to threaten. The kid brings it on every play though and that will go a long way with those recruiting. plus 1!!!

YES AND NO!!! COACHES HAVE ALOT TO DO WITH IT!! I MEAN IF A KID WHO IS A FRESHAMN. . WANTS TO PLAY RUNNING BACK BUT IS 6'1 265 AND DOESNT REALLY QUITE HAVE THE SPEED/CORDINATION YET. .WILL BE FORCED TO PLAY ON THE D LINE OR SOMWHERE ELSE. .
IF HE WOULDA PLAYED WHERE HE WANTED TO PLAY BY THE TIME SENIOR ROLLED AROUND AND WAS DEDICATED ENOUGH. . WE WOULDA GOT HIS WEIGHT AROUND 225 AND NOW U GOT A 6'1 225 LEGIT D-1 RUNNING BACK. . AND NOT A 6'1 265 DLINEMEN WHO WOULD STILL BE UNDERSIZED AT THE D-1 LEVEL!
