It just doesn't make sense to hold back cause of scouts,it's not like those same scouts aren't going to the other games you guys play.Or are you guys going to hold back in every game cause of scouts?

Now this is just hearsay because I'm getting my info from a couple of different GP folks who were at the scrimmage. But it sounds like both teams went in and played well defensively. Neither team showed a whole lot on offense because there were scouts from other teams checkin out the scrimmage. Gp was able to move the ball through the air but E-E's Defense was pretty stout against the run. E-E did manage to move the ball some but a couple of dropped passes probably could have changed the outcome. Both teams turned the ball over at least once, not sure on the exact number. All in all I'd say both teams had success in this scrimmage and both teams come out of this one better than they were yesterday. No major injuries suffered as far as I can tell, but a couple of bumps and bruises on both teams. +1....where do you think GP is ranked compared to the others in the CB? Somewhere in the Top 5 lol... Got Calallen, Gp, Beeville, Port Lavaca and Flour Bluff.... tough to say where we are in that mix.

I guarantee you the GP coaching staff is more concerned bout next week than this meaningless practice game....not saying that neither team didn't try to come out on top, just there is bigger things going on.....

Fair Q not trying to be sarcastic. Doesn't make sense to open up the whole playbook for a meaningless game. You save your good stuff for the ones that count. You pull out a play that your opponent has never seen before and theres a good chance it'll work successfully. If they know it's coming because they've seen you use it in a scrimmage, you think it's gonna work? Probably not.

Why the heck do they still send people to scout? Maybe that was necessary before the invention of the VHS tape, but seriously....

E-E is definitely going to have their hands full against Calallen. I think if this scrimmage with Gp is any indication, E-E's Defense is going to have to have to be stellar and the Offense is going to have to play near perfect, and by that I mean limit the dropped passes and no turnovers. Calallen is the type of team that will exploit your weaknesses and take advantage of whatever you give them. I'm sure the same could be said for E-E but it's going to be difficult in their stadium. I wish yall good luck, they're a tough team to beat at home.

you send people to scout to pick up on the things that the vhs (usually with no sound) can not pick up......calls, cadence, things like that...

I was there... but left early. Too much excitement for one night. The JV and Freshman had moderate success... Approx. scores: JV: EE 3 -- GP 2 Fish: EE 5 -- GP 1 thats moderate, thats darn good for a scrimmage!
