Last night there were several EE coaches scouting the Gp scrimmage. I find it odd that EE coaches would be scouting Gp for a scrimmage! Any EE peeps know anything or have any thoughts? They must not have anything better to do with their free time. |

scoop on gp, they have some speed, guys who have been on varsity for a few years now and a semi-rebuilt offensive line. slow on the dline, decent at Lb and don't know about the dbs. If the pass isn't working for them, which means if they throw two incompletions in a row, Harris will go old school and just pound it all night, some teams can stop the misdirection (us) some teams can't. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the few times I have seen GP, they seem to be primarily a running team- it was very rare that I saw their qb actually throw the ball. after couple of years in games Sinton held them to 35 yds and 100 yards they realized they need to pass the ball ;D. Kidding aside but that really did happen  , GP can pound the ball and pass the ball efectively since last year and looks like a solid team to make a deep run in the playoffs. its going to be a good scrimmage for both teams this early in the season. |

Although, I don't think, for some reason, that PLC is going to make it past the first round. Then you're terribly mistaken. 29-4A may as well be a bye for 30-4A. They were weak last season, and will be worse in 2008. |

I don't think I'm going to make it either. I read on VMS that it starts at 5pm, is that true? I was thinking about leaving early from work, but I thought it was a 7:30 start. I hope with the three big tests coming up for E-E, (GP, Cal, Harlingen) that they come out injury free. They are in for a good pre district tune up and all the schools are returning alot of size and talent. Good Luck Jackets.

No disrespect to PI, as they are on the schedule as well, but I don't think they are anywhere close to being the size of these teams we are about to face.
