Liberal ..... Far from it... i voted Rep. with the big R.... the last two times... but if being against a walll makes me a liberal then so be it... i guess,,... if that makes you feel better by characterizing ppl and labeling them ... what does liberal have to do with any of this.. is it a fault of my own that i happen to agree with ppl not of my political affiliation... I dont think so..
I yes i apologize for coming off so condesending .. after i reread my post i could see how that could have come across but trust me that was not its true intention... What i was upset about was the fact that UTB gained noting from this and lost alot....and LUCIO... gained all...
Oh and WP.. you cant jsut make a fence 2ft higher... you have to replace it...
Oh and saying Grow Up dud... Get a Job... dont get things handed to you .. your a liberal.. makes you more mature...
actually im not a student i have a job.. and have a history of hard work to my name.. as far as i can recall being a son of a farmer is not the best of privliedged postitions./// never new the meaning of Summer, or spring break... or holiday vacations... thats why i loveed school so much.. since elementary any school vacation was dreaded by me.. But i love the Person it made me..
Oh and i worked a Fulltime Job (8hrs) while taking 15-18 hrs and 6-9 hrs in summer of college coarse loads at the same time so that i could grad in 3 years... i only mention this cause od your comment that students should get a job...
Dont talk to me about hard work... we all have are fair share.. and dont see why this is applicable to the subject of the Border wall but yo are the one that mentioned it...

i am against a physical wall corb cause i see it as an excuse not to hire as much Borderpatrol agents.. i would rather have a wall of human shields that can see with thier own eyes rather than cameras .. you get a man in a room looking at 20+ diffrent monitors really does assure my safety... its a shame that the national gaurd is being removed without the equal or greater replacement of BP agents..

if we want to wast Taxpayers dollars so be it.. ithappens... i would like that use to go to actual ppl not a crummy fence ... at least all the ppl who would be hired at government wage can make our valley economy grow...

i agree that it's a waste of money but what alternatives do we have down here in the valley? the border patrol is doing what they can but they're under-staffed and under-funded. i could see them putting national guardsmen on the border, but a lot of them have been to war and might come back a little trigger happy. i'm all for shooting people if you see them crossing, but that's illegal right now and could make for a very bad situation if it would happen. UTB did get screwed on the deal, but being able to protect the parts of the campus that you care about seems like more good than bad. the gov doesn't care what part of the campus gets cut off, at least now the people at UTB can decide where the fence will go.

maybe if our government would stop throwing money to other countries and use it to fund more border patrol men we wouldnt have that problem...

I wanna know what's the government has planned when we spend billions of dollars building this fence and then hurricane dolly jr comes along and blows it down.

I can't tell you about the people I have met along the way, and it reminds me of the George Lopez Skyler bit, that their last name is Gonzalez and they pronounce it Gone-ZAA-Lees. My mom is Cuban dad is Italian and I grew up down here but it was engraved in my head that to succeed you HAVE to speak the native language.

I'm indifferent about "the Wall" but I think that if you're gonna live in this area and expect to survive you better be bilingual. I've been surviving for 23 years old with one language. You don't need to be bilingual, don't get me wrong it sure is helpful, but not necessary. I don't know if you noticed, but almost everything here is in English, like road signs, restaurant menus(expect most Mex. restaurants) the books at the library, etc. I guess I'm doomed to never succeed in life. |
