Which team has the potential to go the furthest this year in high school football and why. For example: number of returning letterman in key or skill positions and so forth.

well we know the valley will get to the 3rd round for sure...but I would go with a 3A-1A team to go the furthest!

Since Valley 5-A teams play each other in the 1st 2 round the have an automatic ticket to the 3rd round. Might be one of them.

1. sure, why not, maybe....Coach Tony V has playoff experience, and an alright team to back it up, i know i know i like wesloco also, but i mean ,wait! what are we talking about? state? district?
if its district, yeah they could win it. state on the other hand, wow! i dont think ANY 5A VALLEY team has made it to the semis in a while
2. Donna dont know much about them, they are on the other side of the valley,from where i reside
3. Great team for sure, might take district for sure, and state,well lets get past Cal and well see how it goes

yes, they are gonna win district and take state. they are gonna take care of ingleside, then beat up on cuero and robstown, and be perfectly healthy for district. Please!they have to beat us Port Isabel win district and as far as state contenders,Lets just try to make it past the second round of the playoffs this year

hey nova, what kind of program did mcallen memorial and brownsville porter have before their "studs" got there? they hadn't won very much had they......weslaco had a run of bad teams there but they weren't anywhere near as bad as porter.....it's a different situation.

Reason for schedule is to prepare for district and then playoffs...playing that type of caliber teams will leave any team exhausted, but it will be worth it...they will be prepared to face PI when the time comes, but it is not only PI that they need to worry about...in 32-3A there are 6 playoff teams from last year..not just 1! RH will be prepared..and I sure hope you are here after the game to eat crow! |

but not the talent...and a new system is not in place, the players will not miss a beat. They responded well to the new coach and well see what happens....right now we can only speculate, who knows they might not win a single district game but neither might PI or Ray or heck even Progreso might go undefeated...we just dont know....but what we do know is that the season is right around the corner and I cannot wait....as I bet most of you cannot as well!

well about the whole PI RH thing
i did some high depth research and i saw that both teams are not going to have it easy
too bad they meet early in the year
i expect my Tarpons to win the district fairly easy but they are going to have to play GREAT every game take no game easy

i mean they just gotta win two games against VALLEY TEAMS
i dont see weslaco being anywhere on the top this year thou
i see DONNA as the best 5a team

Ok RH fan,sure, Just hope your team stays healthy and only 3 teams can go to the playoffs ,so the others dont matter,and after the game no matter the outcome, im gonna be having a brew some where either to celebrate or just to  so it will maybe be the saturday after the game when you see me on here ,either talking trash or giving excuses  |
