Mods are exculded for this, because they can easily change their post count. We on the other hand cannot. It's settle boys! No need for a pat on the back.... I'll just post my victory on my signature! Thanks for playing!

the thing about it is that i'm usually up at least 15 posts before he even starts. by the time i realize, he's a few ahead. i mean it's not that big a deal, but i want 1000 first.

You've got a long ways to go to get to 1000. But certainly this is the thread to do it.

I got suckered into buying some baseball cards on the Sports Mem. channel. Bought some TOPPS Rack Packs from 1986, 87, 88, and 89. All in all it was like 24 packs (per box) with 48 cards per pack. One for each year mentioned above.

Paid $80 for the entire thing. (went half and half w/ a buddy). There were some good rookie cards from those years, but what sucked was that TOPPS printed way too many, which is why the value of the cards wasn't so high.

well if you're not trying to get rid of them right away then just let them sit for awhile, they'll be worth a little more after those players retire.

I didn't get all of the cards I mentioned (since those were the big name rookies from each year), but I did get a good number of them. I was using a beckett guide from 1994, so the most expsenive was the Cecil Fielder RC ($5). Wonder if they are worth more now.
