mishak got shut down in the second half...
and if you really want to blame anyone, blame Tony V for losing the game, because he decided to go for it on 4th and 2 with de leon carrying the ball, and thats the play de leon got injured on
so even if he didnt get hurt, he still didnt get the 1st down, and falcons still win

You gotta admit go'lf, los fresnos has caught alot of breaks in this match up. I mean when you can beat a team by 3 points for a few years in a row, not too mention all games being decided in the last few minutes you know you got some luck on your side. But were hoping that luck is about to change. But your right about one thing, tony v has to step it up and make the right decisions. We fans wanted a punt, and see if Lf can drive the length of the field to score. Defense for the panthers up to that point were shutting down everything just like lf was, as you can tell there was no scoring going on in the second half for either team. Anyway, we'll see how this years game turns out.

i agree with the fact that the punt seemed like the obvious choice since neither team could score, but I dont think you could blame the games on lucky breaks for a couple of reasons
1.)3 years in a row cant all be breaks 2.)you still have to take advantage of the breaks when they come your way... Weslaco was almost at midfield this past year after LF scored and Mishak fumbled on what could have been a game winning drive 3.)in almost every game... IMO breaks even each other out, whether they happen early or later in the game, the breaks even out

Go-Lf 1. They sure can, look at the endings of each of the last 3 match ups. 2. True theres no doubt lf has made a living of taking advantage of our mistakes, and mishak did lose the ball but he was stripped of it fighting for extra yardage. ITs not like he had an oops and fumbled, he was stripped. But obviously that was good thinking on behalf of lf defense. 3. No surprise lf has had those breaks in the later part of the game and have been able to pull it off because of it. We can't seem to buy a break there at the end of these games.
But go'lf, this is a whole new season. We'll see how this one goes. This match up is going to be early in the season, wk 1 of the district season. We'll see how each team steps up to the challenge early on.

yeah, kinda stinks, it was nice to have that big matchup at the end, I just hope both teams are already firing on all cylinders for the game

Yeah i hear ya, it sucks. Its a game we all look forward too and its going to happen right off the bat. But yep it should be interesting to see how both teams will step up for this one so early on.

i dont think this game will be as intense as all the previous two.. i could be wrong.. Wes did send LF to tripple OT the first year after being down 3 tds in the first half... and that was just suppose to be Wes's consolidation game.. but they made the best of that oppertunity...
As for haveing breaks ill admt that Lf has ahd some big breaks in plenty of games... YOu got SB games, you have the Wes games and Har last year, the only game that seemed to be going the same was last years PSJA game where lf's D scored on a fumble to give the team the lead only to lose in a final drive... but can tblame the D.. they were outhtere for close to 15 real time minutes...
Breaks come and go.. its wahat you do with them that counts.. LF has managed to kick the Field goal after creating a fumble in triple OT that first year.. LF gets the ball back and scores a FG... two years ago Tony V doesnt save timpouts allowing LF to run out the clock.. (same problem Pena Has)... last year .. well you all pretty much just covered it....
So breaks are given BY MISTAKES... and i think we can all agree that a team which makes the less mistakes most often than not has the better chance of winning...
PS.. Shak did not get stripped trying to gain extra yards... he was hit in the back field by Mario... he had not crossed to the line of scrimage... as for not giving the ball to Mishak on that 4th down play ... well that whole senario was something to think about.. If Wes made the 1st down you all would have won... really cant blame him for going on it... if yo recall Ford punted b/c Lf's D was stopping wes(and vise versa)... he knew he could have a chance to get the ball back(which he did)... Wes... had the best oppertunity any team/player can ever ask for.. they had their destiny in thier own hands... make two yards and win..
What surprised me the most was that LF managed to score.. like you said.. both teams shutdown the second half... Why Mata was left open in single coverage is the secondary coaches mistake... i would have had three guys on him..
You have to Capitalize.. Lf has Wes hasnt .. thats the diffrence ... breaks are only breacks when you do something about it..
Hope tosee you guys .. ill be eating at Ciro's befor eth game..

He's been working. He'll be back. Estaphan Wilson is filling in just nice. 5'10 RB Jr. Watch Estaphan score a TD the very first time he touched the ball as a Falcon in 9th grade. Watch it here: www.teamfalcon.net/Prospects.html

I'm back for another exciting year of falcon football. I may be in NC but I still follow the falcons closely. Will be going to see Jeremy springer and Eloy Atkinson when they come to town to stomp ECU. Good Luck Falcons look forward to another great season.

I like hells bells... if it would get changed it should be For Whom the Bell Tolls... the reason i like it is b/c it has more guitar (music) in the beginging than Hells Bells.. the lyrics come to fast and if you noticed last year they had to rewind very often to cut out the lyrics... what we like is the Bells and the guitar as fans... and Metallica's For whom the bell tolls has alot more intro than Hells Bells...

If you listen right at the 58th sec. you get the drums that come in and after that the intensity of the song levels out.. there is no increase and for you music buffs the song actually crescendo's down not up.... then you have about 30 sec of leveled intensity... which in music sence doesnt have that impact... then at 1:28 in the song the lyrics come in...
Dont get me wrong but cause i love this song but for a dramatic impact it does lack intensity after the initial cresiendo up once past the fist minute... listen to it and notice exactly what i am saying...
Last year as soon after the lyrics came on the music would get rewound to the begigning and reallly cut off the mood cause the level fell from intensity to nothing again..(b/c of the bells in the beginging and the pauses or breaks between bells)...
Im no composer and all but do love music and listen to Claissical music aswell and for those who do listen to Classical music as Art can understand that Music must follow flow and purpose...
Ozzy once said that his music inn the 80's was so exceptional not b/c of his voice but b/c Randi Rhodes was a trained classical musician and understood that writting music was more of an art form and wrote the music as if composing classical music... every note had its place and purpose to set the mood for the total song.. ...
unfortunatly For Hells Bells the song reaches its peak to early in thhe intro and levels out after the first minute... its a great song but one must understand that this song was written for radio and since songs have to be shorter to get air time the peaks and troughs have to be compressed...

If you listen here you can follow the climb or crescendo of the music upi to 2:10 min of the song where the lyrics come in.. as still the intensity keeps climbing and does not begin to level down until min 3:00 where the guitar brings it down a few notches..
compared to both you have an extra 1:02 min of bells and guitar in for whome the Bells tolls even before the lyrics come in and have an aditional 2:12 of music of high intensity with the Metallica lyrics, beore it cresindo's down...(in think my math is right if not who cares you get the point)
This will cut the need of hitting the rewind button as much like it was done last year during the SB game and Definatly the Wes game and Regan games if you al remember.. kinda was an up and down rlloer coaster and drained you more than if it was just pure intensity... \
what do you guys think..
