I'll go out on a limb and guess this is going to be a close one, maybe a three point margin of victory for the winner.
Who that is? I don't know and won't until I see the Cats play against EE and Gee Pee. Good solid game against those two could mean a bigger spread in favor of Calallen. But uninspiring play like the Cats had against San Benny, United and La Joya in that order last pre season could mean trouble in a big way in Los Fresnos. I give LF a ton of credit for building a solid 5A program in a short period of time in 5A where it tooks schools like Donna and La Joya several years to get there after they moved up. Not too mention a program that is producing Div 1 talent that is getting playing time at these schools too. Not too many schools south of SA can wear that feather in their caps.

If Calallen plays to thier potential, I don't believe any team in the Valley can touch 'em. At times, this team will show just how good they can be. The question is......how often will they show it. I believe this team will be very special when it's all said and done. Los Fresnos will provide opportunities for the fans to see what the Cats are really made of and how quickly they will come together. LF is tough and I do expect our boys to have thier hands full.

I believe this team will be very special when it's all said and done. How special? In comparison to a Cal team of the past, or in a league of it's own?

Special...meaning fondly remembered by Calallen fans. Calallen backers can name past special teams that have come through and done things that either have never been done before or were done with a new wrinkle. I'm not talking about special like our baseball team this year. (42-1 State Champions and finished ranked the #1 ranked public school in the nation in all classifications) But, you never know.

It's just a darn shame that this game didn't happen in 2006 or 2007. Ni modo... I've been posting that Los Fresnos will go 9-1 with a loss coming from PSJA or Cal. PSJA because they have a darn good program over there. Cal, well, because it's Cal. Should be a good game.

road games are of no significance. we beat our rivals all the time at their homes. fb, gp, alice...discipline and execution go a long way and it shows on the road

I'll have a practice report with pictures from today.
I have to say this. It looks like Mario and Eloy never left.
I knew we have OL returning that is 6'2 265, but a OT that is 6'4 275, again?
I'll show pictures in a bit.
