Donna used to schedule Edcouch-Elsa in the late 90's & early 2000's Those midvalley rivalries were great to watch. It wasn't much of a rivalry considering the record was 35-7? in Donna's favor, lol I should re-phrase and say midvalley games. Regardless I think they should start up again...It seems in recent games Ed-Elsa has been playing tough against Weslaco. Maybe it will carry over to Donna

I understand why we stopped playing against each other.... i don't understand why Donna vs Weslaco is not going to happen these next two pre seasons.

And why is that amnova?
And we've out done the convos on the wes/donna game already. Don't worry they will meet again. But i know i wouldn't mind seeing a donna vs ee matchup and or a donna vs mercedes match up as well. I mean donna is part of the midvalley as well aren't they? Why don't they schedule those match ups just for the fun of it, we did.

That just gave me an idea for a new page (stat sheet). E-E Winning Percentage Chart The question is, how does one go about in calculating a winning percentage. (it's the ties that throw me for a loop). Do you know WOS87? The accepted method by pretty much all statisticians is to count a tie as 0.5 win and 0.5 loss. So winning percentage would be calculated by the following equation: [Total Wins + (Total Ties/2)]/(Total games played) For example.... if someone has a 1-1-1 record their winning percentage would be: (1+0.5)/3 = 0.5000 or 50% which makes sense If you just used wins divided by total games played, that would be the same thing as counting all ties as 100% losses.

Oh damn. But still ee is alot more competitive these days, i think they could give donna a good game. You never know until someone schedules it.

The last time E-E met up with Donna, Donna's program was on the rise and EE was on a steady decline. (Proof, that was around the time Mercedes won their last district championship, yikes!) In any case, thanks to WOS87, I calculated the E-E's winning percentages. It is the lowest (.250) with 5 or more games.

Donna beat EE, pretty bad I might add, Porter beat Donna, then EE beat Porter.

Growing up in EE in the 60's and 70's, it seemed that the EE/Donna rivalry was stronger than that of today's EE /Mercedes.

we had players out for those two games because of a fight that broke out in the first scrimmage against San Bene.... *Wow*.... Rio Grande City(0-20) and Mercedes(8-12) were the only teams to defeat the STATE CHAMPS from DONNA in 1961....... I wonder if they were rubbing it in their face on the forums back then....LMAO ;D Nice info wos87....

Edcouch-Elsa, nambe....las avispitas son clientes.....
By the time we have another Weslaco-Donna game the Panthers will just have another excuse not to have to play the Redskins.....stadium seats......ticket sales.....gas prices.....TEA investigations.....
Now seriously, this rivalry is only going to get much worse, your giving people a couple of years to come up with some serious pranks and/or attacks on each other....
