No wonder EE wants to post a "W" against Calallen so bad. The Cats have ended EE's season every time they've played. The first game this year won't be a season-ender, but it may just be a morale breaker.

Probably not too much. Just staying within 2 TDs is like a win. But physically, EE will likely be looking to backups to get the job done the following week. They should heal up in time for district though.

They should heal up in time for district though. My friend, this ain't your ordinary EE team, but I guess you will see. In terms of athleticism and physical stature I feel that the two teams are about even. I feel the only advantage Cal has is their coach...that man is one heck of a coach, yes one heck of a coach! I would have also given home field advantage to Cal, but EE travels well, especially to Cal games.

What exactly is an ordinary EE team? What did you mean by that? In my opinion, the fact that the game is so early in the season is the only thing that gives EE any chance. Calallen will be at thier most vulnerable thier first 3 games as they work out the kinks that come with a new QB, TEs, DEs, and LBs as well as a couple other spots. Up till this season, Calallen and EE have only met in the playoffs, when both teams are at full stride. It will be interesting to say the least to see how they match up in an early-season game and then hopefully in the playoffs just for comparison. CFWB

That is true cfwb, about being early in the season. E-E usually starts off in "mid season form" and then their is a slight downfall. About the gas being $4 bucks a gallon, I don't think it will make any difference. This will be a playoff atmosphere I do believe.

CFWB To put it simply, I meant that this year's EE team will be not be beaten by Cal. Also, I expect Cal to play a heck of a game- they always play a great game no matter what part of the season it is. In terms of fan participation, I guess you are not familiar with EE fans. When it comes to games versus Cal, even if gas were $100 dollars a gallon, they would still find a way to "pack the house!" I hope you all put in extra stands or else it is going to be a standing room only game - I'm serious.

George Lopez said it best the other night. "We got a packed house, 55,000 tickets were sold! And only 60 cars in the parking lot!" RAZAAA

Just like at EE where we have people coming packed into pickups and parking just outside the stadium watching the game via their lawnchairs. JK ;D.......sort of.

Even if a lot of fans can't make the game, the mercedes-like visiting bleachers will make the fan-base look even larger.

Ought to be fun. If EE brings the size you say they're bringing, then it's gonna be like horses running head on into each other. Let's just hope the officiating is a non-issue.
