Yeah, the best chance for the streak to be broken this year has to be against Mercy. I think Mercy is on the verge of a great season. EE will be challenged immensely by Mercy. I just see an upset here, or maybe just kinda wanting an upset. Not to mention Mercy was the last team, still in the district EE lost to. (EE's last loss was to Harl. S. in the last game of the 2002 season. - two weeks earlier they lost to Mercy) However, in order to break this record we have to see EE through the 2009 season. Do you think EE has what it takes after this season and the begining of 2010. Also, there has to be some kind of tribute to that Tarpon winning streak. X-Lobo who didn't beat E-E that year. |

No, Mercy will not beat EE this year. Last year EE was a relatively young, inexperienced team and Mercedes still couldn't beat them. This year EE will much much stronger. On the other hand, with all due respect to the Tigers, but I don't see much a difference in talent between their team from last year and this year. Mercedes played without their starting QB in that game, so don't read too much into it. Should be a good game is all I have to say about it. We played without Ronnie Villapando and without out left Guard. Also our Mlb was playing with a separated shoulder and our right OLB was playing with a sprain right knee. Still held your Trevinio Tigers to 4 yards in the second half. THATS RIGHT 4 LONELY YARDS. |

Lets just all see what happens when it comes down to EE and Merecedes. Me as an EE fan say Merecdes wont pull it off. but as sportmenship; both team are the team to beat in district and well god knows about east. they got some players coming back. but hey all that matter to both edcouch and Merecedes is that they play each other for bragging rights. and so far we have the bragging rights.

Well, I wish I could say that mercedes will snap EE's streak and believe it, but I can't...I said it to myself last year in the beginning of the season... that mercedes was going to beat EE; however, I didn't even go to the game after knowing albert chavez didn't pass to play. It doesn't take a defense guru to know how to stop a run offense. I knew I was going to be disgusted watching the game. Thus, watching a team I support fail to be victorious against a team that I thought was beatable with a complete mercedes team...nonetheless I shouldn't say it again until I know for a fact what team will represent Mercedes Oct. 10th...for now, I know it will be a great game to watch!
