Senior Nick Borgelt will likely back up Wood at center and can play
guard if needed. Sophomore Greg Tomcyzk will compete at the left
tackle position. Freshman Mario Benavides enrolled in the spring and
has an opportunity to be a special player.

i wsa looking i the blogs for anything on monday.. a little early but nice to see that info is coming out...

First day practice notes from Louisville:

The TE play was somewhat up and down, however I do like that we have 3-4 players that have good size to play TE. Actually Johnny Burns who played TE during the spring is by far the smallest of the TE's at 6'3". Nate Nord looks like a Gary Barnridge clone. Zach Meagher was running well. Cameron Graham looks like he will be a good blocking TE at 6'4" 245, but needs to work more on his receiving. Rock Keys is another who passes the look test at 6'5" 240, but I didn't see enough of him in the team offensive drills. Freshman Stephon Ball was working with the WR's today. I am sure they will move him around to several positions before settling into just one position. Ball is pretty lean at 6'4" 215 lbs. for TE.

OL looks pretty solid with Woods at center. Mario Benavides is 2nd team center. They definitely grow them big and strong in Texas. Mark Wetterer and Abdul Kuyatch were starting guards. I believe Jeff Adams was one of the starting OT.

The starting center, Eric Wood is 6'4 310 is a 5th year senior and will be drafted.

Mario should get the starting role next year.

i'm glad he's a center. he seemed like a smart player to me and that's where you want the brightest guy to be.....i can't wait to see him starting next year. who knows, maybe this year.
