Nope I'm pretty sure he was they're qb Nah.. QB is the son's coach, his cousin who's father is also an assistant for the Lions, played defense. There was even a large write up in the VMS about "all in the family" -dad/HC, his son who is an asst coach and HC brother, who is also an asst coach. So it was 3 coaches HC, 2 asst (1 bro & 1 son) and two sons who played.

While i am sure this provided the kids some valuable experience, I would not put much value into the rankings other than self promotion by those wanting to get the information out there.
This evaluation measured what type of athlete you have at the QB position not whay type of QB you will have during the season.
We need to learn as a region to not compare kids to self promote our petty objectives but to use these camps as way to improve the kids in the valley.
This was a good oportunity for us to provide our kids with valuable experience which is what many kids up north get but instead we have the first page of someone trying to promote his kid won it and 4 more pages of posters wanted to say why the kid fromt heir school did good or bad.....
thats whats wrong with all of us we need to come together and promote all our valley kids, kind of what is happening with that scrimmage in weslaco on monday....
that scrimmage promotes the greated good of the valley instead of one team......

valleysports is right about the camp as far as what it shows. it's just something to gauge what kind of athlete your qb is. it's the same thing the pro's do. coaches are looking for a certain type of athlete when they go to the combine's and run the athletes through different drills. they want to find that athlete that they think fits what they're trying to do.
in defense of mvfb, i think he was thinking "a great athlete will make plays" and he's right. he knows weslaco will have a line this year that is going to provide dylan with a good amount of protection, and since MOST people BELIEVE weslaco is going to do more passing this year, he simply re-stated what people have been saying for awhile, "watch out for the pass in weslaco".
