wrong royalblue: 3rd paragraph from the botom of the article: --"The defense is ahead of the game right now," Esquivel said. "I think one of reasons we've had success in past years is that we try to keep it simple. These kids have been running the same defense since they were in seventh grade."--

Well over at the 3A downlow forum, they created a mock playoff. They are in the process of declaring the semi-round winners, and this is what they 'projected' for 32-3A La Feria getting the 'big' school nod and beating Ingleside in the 1st round, but losing to Bandera in the 2nd round. Rio Hondo has been chosen as the runner-up and losing to CC West Oso in the 1st round. (seems CC WO is 2nd only to Cuero as a Reg. 4 favorite) Port Isabel has been chosen as the District Champ and beating Sinton in the 1st round, beating Pearsall in the 2nd round and losing to Cuero in the 3rd. Cuero vs CC West Oso for the Quarterfinals. Seems if you win district in 32-3A you might get a lil deeper, but face Cuero, (Reg 4 fav.) sooner. Well see how 32-3A stacks up to Cuero and CC West Oso as both are playing RH and PI respectively early in the season. If the RGV 3As can keep within 10pts, we might have a chance at reaching the quarters in Div 2.

CCWO is overrated, IMO . . .
in fact that whole system (the mock playoff) is screwed and skewed so bad, it isn't even funny.

According to the paper 32-3A is the toughest district in the RGV and I would have to agree.

I know one thing for sure and that is that there will probably be some upsets in this district because it will be so competitive.

To me it seems like the Runner up Rep of the D2 bracket has the easier Road and if it is PI or RH im confident either team can take it to CCWO whoever Represents D2 as the 32-3A Champ will be done in the 3rd round I just cant see either team getting by Cuero that early in the playoffs ...if either RH or PI plays Cuero in the quarterfinals i think we would have more of a chance as there would be more intensity still its gonna be tough to get past Cuero I also believe if the first or second place team of 32-3A went D1 they would actually do very well if not better than in d2

Any team can be beaten on any given day. That's the attitude that we as RGV teams should have from 5A to 1A.

Its just an opinion believe me Im all for PI to win it all i just believe they would have a better chance of beating them in Round 4 instead of meeting up in Round 3....heres another prediction imma make as well...if PI goes D1 they will reach the Semis;)
