The only negative was the water clarity, blue water was way out. But it's making it's way in! as soon as it gets in, it's a great time to fish for kingfish out the mouth of the east cut. I cant wait for that.

chartering has been a little slow for me since the hurricane. To make matters worse, the tongue on my trailer broke so now I have to repair it. Parts are taking a while to get in so I really haven't done much fishing lately. I had to cancel a trip for this saturday. A group of guys are doing some kind of tournament involving Doctors and nurses. They wanted to hire me to take them out, but the little lady of the house will be out of town so I have to say home w/ the kidos. Oh well. I'd rather spend time with them than make an extra few bucks.

Not knowing much about boat engines and props,I have a question for anyone that can help.
My boat keep overheating, figured must be the water pump going bad,or my water line is clogged up,because i also noticed that not enough water was coming out of the pee hole.took it to my dealer that i bought it from so they could check it out.Being that it was already there,I asked them to do the 20 hour service.Picked up my boat on wed, went to a fishing tournament on saturday, docked off checked the pee hole, water coming out great.Took off , passed the y going south, around marker 23 or so I notice the boat slowing down, rpms still the same,by the time I hit marker 49 my rpms were @ 5500 but was going @ about 2000rpm speed.Took me about 3 hours to get back.Took my boat back to the dealer explained what happen, first thing the guy said "It's your prop.Need to buy a new one" So before I go spend $400-$500 on a new prop,do any of you that know anything about boats think this is true or am I been scrxxed. The boat is going on 17 months old and the prop (from the naked eye) still looks good.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be slipping as you throttle up. This would cause you no to be able plan out, but yet still motor in. The only other reason I can see why your boat wouldn't plan out at full throttle is if your prop has been grinded down by driving around in the sand on the east side. I usually have to recup my prop about 4 times a year because of this. I usually know it's time to do it again as soon as I have trouble getting out of the hole. going back to my first answer. If I were you, I would take it over to Ibarra's prop shop in Rio Hondo. The guy does a real good job of repairing and recupping props. He recently purchased the equipment needed to replace the clutch on props. No need to buy a new prop if it can be repaired. I would be glad to go by and look at it if you would like. Just send me pm.
