at first it didn't look all that great, but as the debut date has been getting closer, the previews look really good. i'm planning on seeing it on sunday also.

This movie kinda made me mad because its starts off so badass. Will Smith has some great lines that will really make you laugh but then it goes down hill.
According to its wikipedia page the project has been around for about ten years and has gone through a lot of directors and studios... and its been re written about fifty times. And you notice this as the movie progresses.
It starts off great, action packed, funny everything you'd expect from a Micheal Mann flick then it gets emo and the plot gets so rediculous (there's a major revelation about a third character that just makes the plot into a clusterbuck of story telling.)
I like that this movie actually brings us a new superhero movie that wasnt made up in the fifties. (sure dark knight looks awesome, but how many times can you rehash those old comics?)
Go with a sense that the movie is gonna let you down a little. And if you expect for them to fully explain where Han(ock gets his powers then you're bucked.
