Do you see the geocities control panel?
If so, right below where it says geocities control panel, you should see this list of menu options:
Home - Create & Update - Manage - Promote - Help - Index
Select "Manage"

"easy upload" and "file manager" Use the upload if you ever want to upload pictures... but like I said, for now, use the photobucket account.
CLICK ON "FILE MANAGER"

This could get tricky... BEFORE YOU CLICK "OPEN FILE MANAGER" BE SURE THAT THIS IS SELECTED AND EVERYTHING IS CHECKED ON "Show: html gif jpg other "

It is kind of weird, b/c sometimes your files may not be visable. You'll have to refresh the file manager (and be sure that it says to show all of those file extensions).

You should see all the files, there are 7 directories and one index file (.html). That index file is your home page.

You'll have to check your changes in real time, so right now, look at the index.html file. There are two ways to edit this file. Either click on the little pencil icon, or select the box, and click on the "edit" button.

If you click on the directories, it will take you inside of them.. and each one should have an index.html file. That is the main page for each directory.

After doing you've opted to edit the index.html file, you should change pages to the HTML editor. And you are going to see a page full of what appears to be a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. That is your webpage in HTML code. It is aligned vertically. Right click on the link that says index.html and open a seperate window/tab. I want you see the changes as you make them.

scroll through the code and see if you can make sense of it... see if you understand how all that code translate to what you see on the webpage. Like I said, it is vertically aligned... so what is at the top of the screen, should be at the top of the code.
