you guys are wondering what i'm doing back. i came back to help out my parents. something tragic happened in our family. i came back to help out until everyone got back on their feet and into a routine. since then i've continued my education at pan am. being so close to finishing it didn't make sense to go back to houston where the majority of the hours that i took here wouldn't transfer. you're only allowed a certain amount of transfer hours and i had already gotten those. you know lmka makes a lot of fun of people from mercedes and weslaco but what does he do? he drives a truck....now although driving a truck isn't all bad, he is in no position to try to criticize someone's life and how they live it, but since he does, so will i. so laugh it up lmka because at the end of the day we're both nothing, but i got a whole lot more time than you do to make something of myself.

no, i stopped playing football because i blew out my knee. i still had an academic scholarship plus financial aid to UH. i still could've stayed there. i came back after a family member died. it really shook everyone up. all my aid transferred so i just came to help out with whatever i could.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Your parents are lucky to have you as a son. Not many people would do what you did for the sake of their family. In my case, after many years of being away from the Valley, I left in the late 70's and returned in "94" after accomplishing most of my educational goals (I studied on both coasts and received a B.A. and two M.A.s ). After living/working on the west coast for a number of years years I grew wary of the life in the "fast lane" and wanted to come back home to live in a sensible manner. I love the Valley! I guess alot of people don't realize how great it is until you've gone to live somewhere else. |

it's great here. i don't regret my decision at all. i miss certain things about the big city, but nothing compares to the valley. i planned to come back eventually, much like what you did prof. i guess i just came back a little sooner than expected. it's all good. back to the discussion.
it pains me to say it but, WE DISTRICT CHAMPS!!! ;D

when they both win their district championship, we're gonna put up a sign on the bilboard that says "weslaco, DC city" or something like that. it'll look good i think.
