obviously my top 2 choices are WE and mercedes. leaning more towards weslaco east. they're gonna be huge all the way down on the line and they're gonna be equally big on defense as a unit. there's enough speed there for them to do some serious damage. the only thing that hurts WE is their coaching staff, but i'm hoping they'll work harder this year just to prove me wrong.........i think i've gotten to them that much. especially after beating them the other day with mostly jv players while they were calling plays from the stands. So E-E bring back almost the entire team won't help E-E. Wow a rent a coach make a prediction. Since you have alot of knowledge maybe you should be appointed WE head coach and maybe that way East could win State.

lmka, i'm more than sure that i have more insight than you on BOTH teams and i also have more knowledge about the game than you do. i'd love for you to come down and coach against me so that you could see the kind of butt whipping i would give you. i know that wouldn't shut you up but at least it would make for a few good laughs here on the forum. a few more at your expense wouldn't hurt anything.

The key for EE is Nino, he is there do everything QB and with the loss of the RB's they will need him to produce even more. EE after all these years knows how to win the big games and it will take a great effort from Mercedes or East to beat them. On D they were weak at times but that Dline wreaked havoc last year and helped out the entire defense. Mercedes has Alex, but the key is Albert, if he is out there for all the games than they have a legitimate shot to finally dethrone EE, The D will be young but good. The O will be good if Albert is there and the Line will be bigger than last years but young. East is the unknown that could topple both of them, they have big kids on the line and obviuosly with a State Championship in Powerlifting they have strong kids. They will score points no doubt about that but will they stop anybody? ? If their D comes through they will win it. Mission & Vets will be right there as well which will make for a very comptetive district with 4 teams going......

For some reason I don't have a lot of confidence in Nino, what can I say I guess I got spoiled by the Rubio years.

Last season Tanguma was open most of the time, had his man beat, he just had to jump up and the ball was his , but the ball never seemed to go his way. I don't know why but when your TE is way taller, bigger, stronger than the guy that is covering him you'd think the coaches or QB would pick up on that, but game after game it was Tanguma all alone with his hands in the air with the play going the other way with the QB holding the ball for too long. At least that's what I saw time after time, Tanguma in a mismatch and no one taking advantage of it.

Tanguma and cisneros will be Nino's favorite targets this year...Looks a lot more confident throwing the ball this year than he did last year. At least in 7on7.
