Did he really say something that was offensive? Or is it just that he is a white guy who said it, and that is why it is getting the coverage that it is?

It is because of what he said about the rutgers lady basketball team, his comments (whatever they are now) are going to be looked at from a perspective that they weren't before. Now he won't get the benefit of the doubt when he says he meant this when something different came out of his mouth. Even if what he said about pacman was intended to be helpful towards pacman, it didn't come out like that. People, especially the press, aren't going to let him off so easy because of what he said about the rutgers lady bball team.

Niether can I. But it seems that folks like Al Sharpton make too big of a deal when comments like this are made. Not just by Imus but by any person that is other than black.

Gotta agree, what he said about the Rutgers lady basketball team has something to do with it. But, I can see how the reaction, of folks like Al Sharpton or Spike Lee, would be the same if it were Shaun Hannity or Rush Limbaugh. Not too long ago Spike lee was all over the news calling out Clint Eastwood about not casting one black person in “Flags of Our Fathers”. Why? It is almost like Sharpton and Lee are just out there to look for things to complain about.

who cares what this old guy says? `his job is to say things that are over the top so that people will tune in to hear what he has to say next. i didn't see anything wrong with it. i laughed at the comment.
