People do that? you should know ....you know, you being from EE and all. ;D I hope nobody thinks that winning comes without paying a price. ;D Oh, I don't know about this mandatory business. I think the kids @ E-E understand the monster they've created and that if they expect to keep having the same type results, they are going to have to work hard. I would be more concerned about the younger kids that may not be as invested/interested in this "monster" that was created before their time. I think this is where the mandatory-business evolves from.

exactly ... even though it's voluntary, there is kinda of a unwritten rule that says you MUST go.

you're right about that buzzy. when i was in school there was no tradition of working out or anything like that, but with the recent success all of us that support the program are trying to get the kids that are coming up to understand that it doesn't come easy.

Of course, it sure helps when you have a RB like Mishak Rivas. The attitude of players has changed so much from when I was in school. Drugs and booze are still a factor in the lives of many of these high-school athletes, however, i think a lot of them are encompassed in the technological age. Whether it be video games or the internet. (like i'm one to talk, look where i'm @ now).

that's not when it started though buzzy. sure it helped, but the whole team is very talented and very athletic. mishak just overshadowed them.

come to think of it, i might have to retract my previous statement. after coach hite left, there was never really anyone working out. i guess mishak did get it going again, but before i left it was getting good. the weight room was a packed house most of the day when i was there during my senior year.

It wasn't mishak wp, it was TONY V. Coach hite wasn't much of a motivator like tony v is. He came in and changed the attitude of the guys, he told them they were winners and if they wanted to taste success its going to take hardwork and dedication. And once the winning seasons started coming, it was an addiction and the kids bought into it and they then realized that if they want to continue to be successful they have to continue to work hard and devote their time into becoming better athletes.

coach hite was a decent motivator when he first came back, that was my senior year. people started going because of him. after that winless season most kids didn't see the point of working out if all they were going to do was lose. you do got a very good point though. mishak was already here before coach v, but things didn't change back to they way they used to be until coach v got here.
